As part the continued expansion of Watkins Hire Ltd Steve Danks (ex Wellman Robey) has joined our successful team, Steve will operate from the New West Midlands Depot and will work throughout the country at the headquarters in Gloucestershire and the other WHL depots in Yorkshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire.
Steve's Duties Include
- The management of all aspects of Health and Safety including Environmental issues.
- Update and issue of the Health and Safety Policy
- Auditing of the Health and Safety Policy
- Carrying out risk, COSHH, PUWER, manual handling, and PPE assessments
- Creating Safe Systems of Work and Method Statements
- Chairing Health and Safety meetings and the writing of the minutes
- Arranging appropriate job specific training (e.g. Working at Height, Safety Passport Training) and mandatory training in accordance with Health and Safety regulations (e.g. rider operated lift truck training, lifting and slinging training, confined space training. etc).
- Preparing Pre-Tender & Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans. (CDM Regulations)
